Pediatric Occupational Therapy for Great Neck Families

Great Neck families know the value of a community that invests in its children — strong schools, active parents, and a peninsula that feels like its own village. When a child in that village starts struggling with handwriting, mealtimes, sensory overload, or the demands of a busy school day, families here want thoughtful, individualized help rather than a generic program. That's exactly what PlayGrow OT offers. Cheryl Sadigh, MS, OTR/L, brings play-based occupational therapy directly into your home, working with children from toddlers through teens on the skills that make everyday family life feel manageable again.

How Great Neck Families Access Our Services

Because sessions happen in your home, there's never a clinic commute across Nassau County to factor into your week. Great Neck families often schedule visits around the school day or a parent's work-from-home window, and many find that in-home therapy actually simplifies the logistics that a clinic-based program would add. If you do need to travel, Great Neck sits at the western edge of the county with easy access via Northern Boulevard, the Long Island Expressway, and the LIRR's Port Washington branch — but for therapy itself, Cheryl comes to you.

The kitchen table becomes the therapy space, your child's own toys become the tools, and the strategies we practice fit the environment where your child actually spends their day. That means the gains show up where they matter most — at home, not just inside a therapy room.

Collaborating With Great Neck Schools and Pediatricians

Great Neck is home to a particularly engaged network of educators and pediatric providers, and we're glad to coordinate with them. With your permission, Cheryl can share goals and strategies with your child's teacher or special education team so the work happening at home carries into the classroom. The same goes for your pediatrician — if an evaluation or progress note would help your doctor support a referral or track development, we'll provide it. Many Great Neck families also use school-based services through CPSE or their district, and private sessions pair well alongside those, filling in gaps the school schedule can't cover without duplicating what's already being done there.
