Pediatric Occupational Therapy in Nassau County, Long Island
PlayGrow OT brings play-based pediatric occupational therapy directly to families across Nassau County, Long Island. Cheryl Sadigh, MS, OTR/L, works with children from 18 months to 18 years on sensory processing, fine motor skills, handwriting, feeding, and the everyday routines that make a household run. Every plan is individualized to your child, and every session includes parent coaching so progress carries into real life.
Serving Families Throughout Nassau County
PlayGrow OT is a home-based practice, which means therapy happens in the place where your child is most comfortable — your living room, kitchen table, or playroom. Families come to us from across Nassau County, including Great Neck and Manhasset along the peninsula, Port Washington and Roslyn on the Sound, New Hyde Park and Garden City in the central county, and Plainview, Syosset, Jericho, and Hicksville along the Route 106/107 corridor.
Because sessions happen at home, there's no clinic to drive to and no waiting room to sit in — we come to you. If you're in one of these communities and wondering whether your child would benefit from occupational therapy, a free 15-minute phone consult is the easiest way to find out.
Why Nassau County Parents Choose PlayGrow OT
Parents across Nassau County choose PlayGrow OT for a few simple reasons. First, there are no waitlists — most families start within days, not the months-long waits common at larger clinics. Second, you work directly with Cheryl every session, not a rotating cast of therapists, so someone who truly knows your child is always in the room.
Third, the practice is private-pay, which means no insurance authorizations limiting how many sessions your child gets or what goals we can work on. You get detailed superbills you can submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement. And because sessions are in your home, the strategies we use are designed for your actual space, your actual routines, and the toys your child already loves.
It's therapy that fits your family instead of the other way around — and it's why so many Nassau County families tell us their child finally looks forward to therapy day.

Working With Nassau County Schools and Providers
Many Nassau County families find us while navigating Early Intervention, CPSE, or school-district services, and we're glad to work alongside those systems rather than around them. With your permission, Cheryl can coordinate with your child's teachers, special education team, or other providers so everyone is working toward the same goals.
For younger children, we can help you make sense of your CPSE evaluation, understand what school-based OT will and won't cover, and decide whether private sessions make sense on top of school services. For school-aged children, we focus on the skills that carry over into the classroom — handwriting, attention, self-regulation, lunchbox and locker independence — and can share strategies with your child's teacher that make the school day smoother.
If your child receives services through the district, that doesn't disqualify them from private OT; the two often complement each other, with private sessions filling in the gaps the school schedule can't.
